Garden Tractor Ladder Installation Instructions

Note: The chain you are installing will not have the cams.

1. First Lay the chains flat out on the ground, make sure there are no tangles in the chain. When you place the chains on the tire the cross chain hook eyes must face up. Damage can occur if the hook eyes face against your tire.
2. Grab the chain in the middle and drape of your tire, make sure the cross chain hooks are up and fastener is on the outside of the tire. Tuck the first cross chain under the tire.
(If you can not grab the chain- Lay flat and drive over the chain and make connections.)
3. Once cross chain is tucked you can drive slightly forward so your chain looks like the above picture.

(move tire until lever is fastener is axle high.)

This picture depicts what the outer tire chain fastener looks like before it locked.

Here is the fastener locked.

 4. First hook the inside fastener. Remove slack and hook the outside fastener. Make the chain as tight as possible by hand without the use of tools. Drive about 1/4 mile , stop and retighten.
